Engineering Mechanics III (Dynamics)
In the course of Engineering Mechanics I (Statics) and Engineering Mechanics II (Strength of Materials) only static problems are considered. The aim of Dynamics is the treatment of the motion of rigid bodies under external loads, which occur, for example, in rotating machines, gear mechanisms, robotics, etc. Beside the pure description of the kinematical plane and three-dimensional behavior of rigid bodies, kinetic issues such as the balance of momentum and balance of angular momentum within fixed and moving origins are considered. The final aspect is related to Euler’s equation of motion.
