Thermo-mechanically coupled structural analysis of thin-walled composite structures using high-order finite elements

In the field of composite materials the formulation of anisotropy is one particular problem. Especially, for anisotropic thermo-mechanical coupled situations the constitutive modeling aspect and the implementation into finite element programs are challenging tasks. In this project a constitutive model for anisotropic thermo-elasticity is developed and implemented into a high-order finite element program, where time-adaptivity for high-order time-integration and high-order polynomials are applied to solve thin-walled structures.
