Research:
- Molecular dynamics and discrete element simulations of heterogeneous materials (from metals and oxides to biomaterials and granular materials) to characterize the material properties under high pressure conditions (e.g. plastic deformation, compaction etc.)
- Characterization of dislocation structures and plasticity with multiscale methods
- Combining data-driven methods and materials science for the optimization and development of various materials with tailored properties.
