Parameter identification concepts in fused deposition modeling
Christina Steinweller
In 3D-printed components, the material properties exhibit mechanically anisotropic responses. Apart from modeling issues, the question has to solved about the identification of the material parameters of the underlying constitutive model. Using defined printing directions, specimens are produced so that particular experiments address the material parameter more or less uniquely. Later on, numerical simulations and their uncertainty quantification on the basis of the identification will show the reliability of the prediction.
