General Remarks

The GGP takes place every three years in one of the participating countries. The symposium was initiated in 1991 and has become an institute since then. So far, 15 participants per country have been invited. In this year's event with shortened duration, 12 presenters per country will be invited to present their recent activities in the field of Mechanics. The contributions are of highly scientific level. The goal of these meetings is to exchange scientific knowledge and experience as well as to initiate and continue new and existing cooperation and friendship between the participating people. In view of the integration within Europe this becomes more and more important.

The 11th German-Greek-Polish Symposium is locally organized by the Division of Solid Mechanics, Institute of Applied Mechanics at Clausthal University of Technology, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany The venue is located in Herrsching am Ammersee at the “Haus der Bayerischen Landwirtschaft”.
