Teaching and studying

Everything about lectures, student papers, bachelor's and master's theses

Welcome to our department

The aim of the Solid Mechanics working group is to train students in the basic subjects "Technical Mechanics I-III", "Technical Vibration Theory" as well as in-depth study of "Continuum Mechanics" and the "Finite Element Method". The specialization serves to support the inclusion of material non-linearities in structural calculations, which is becoming increasingly established in industry. And this is where the transition to the research topics of experiment, material modeling, identification of material parameters and simulations can be seen, with the latter topic focusing on method development.
